Beet seeds are sprouting on Casey’s farm, and there is something unusual about a few of them. If you’ve grown beets from seed, perhaps you’ve noticed what looks like multiple plants sprouting from a single seed. Casey assures us that we are not crazy. She also explains the relationship between beets and chard.
May is American Wetlands Month. Daniel likes celebrating by visiting Hyatt Hidden Lakes Reserve. He was out there recently with the Weed Warriors, tackling some of our area’s noxious weeds.
