Episode 9: Bradford Pears, Syrphid Flies, and Pollen Facts #1

 

Bradford pears are flowering now in downtown Boise and across the Treasure Valley. This is creating quite a stink, and Casey explains why. Hint: syrphid flies have something to do with it.

Speaking of plant sex, lots of plants are doing it right now. This means that pollen – which contains the male reproductive cells of plants – is all the rage. Daniel shares a few fun facts about pollen in part one of this two part series.
