Episode 41: Mistletoe (part two) and Yule Logs

As promised, Casey continues her discussion of mistletoe with a summary of some of the good these parasitic plants have to offer. Not only do they provide food and habitat for wildlife, they also have an important role to play in Dungeons and Dragons.

From the ancient Nordic tradition of burning a large to tree during the winter solstice to looped videos of fireplaces and sponge cakes shaped like logs, the yule log has come a long way. Daniel provides a brief history of this underappreciated holiday tradition.
