Casey was busy planting potatoes recently, which prompted her to reflect on the history of the crop that made Idaho famous. One of the lessons we can learn from the story of the potato is the importance of diversity, not only in the wild but also in our agricultural fields.

Daniel has something to say about an edible plant as well. However, his subject is generally considered to be a weed. Blue mustard may be a troublesome plant (and a stinky one to boot), but it’s also pretty tasty.
