This episode is all about beavers! Casey starts us off by explaining all of the amazing things that beavers do. For starters, beavers are ecosystem engineers, which means that their presence alone helps provide habitat for numerous other species. Their activities are crucial for maintaining healthy ecosystems. We need beavers in our lives!

Unfortunately, beavers can also be destructive, particularly when they live in close proximity with humans. Daniel shares a popular story from Idaho’s history in which troublesome beavers were removed from McCall and parachuted into the Frank Church Wilderness Area.
